The charter goes on to assert that the enemy "has accumulated huge and influential material wealth," with which it has "taken control of the world's media, such as news agencies, the press, publishing houses, and broadcasting" and "ignited revolutions in various parts of the world."

That the founding charter of Islamic resistance movement Hamas guarantees the right of the besieged Palestinians to resist by force the illegitimate, 62-year Israeli occupation of historical Palestine (Article 13) is well known. What is less well known is that Article 22 of the charter, entitled "The Powers that Support the Enemy," describes a handful of international secret societies -- including Freemasonry -- as "destructive spying organizations" mandated with "destroying societies and achieving the Zionist's interests."
